Navteq helps software house move forward
Ness Technologies, based in Košice, has signed a contract with the leader in the creation of digital maps last september
Around one hundred people used to work at the software house of Ness Technologies company in Košice last year. By the end of this year the number of employees should reach 300.
Nearly all of them will work on the development of new software. And so Expanzia Nett proves that the development of IT environment in Košice is not merely based on the administration of servers and operational systems.
The company offers very interesting jobs. Apart from good remuneration the job also offers creative work. The international company, Ness, came to eastern Slovakia about three years ago.
In Košice it established a software centre focusing on research, development, testing and other activities related to software engineering. Investments have exceeded 100 mil. Sk (3.3 mil. Sk). Most of this money was invested in education and know-how transfer.
Ness is building development centres for its clients and cooperates with one local and six international clients. One of the first clients of the software house in Kosice is a good example.
The US company, Forent, develops security solutions for banks and the eastern Slovakian office is developing software for the detection of fraud and suspicious operations for them.
A contract with one of their biggest customers and a leader in the creation of digital maps, Navteq, was signed last September. And that is also a reason why the arrival of Amreesh Modi in Košice was such a special occasion for Ness.
